Magistrates and Crown Court

We understand that the thought of making a court appearance can be extremely worrying and stressful. We are here to help with all aspects of the court process, including:

Reviewing the evidence against you and advising on the appropriate plea
Whether your case is likely to be hearing in the Magistrates’ Court or the Crown Court
What information should be given to the court
How this information should be best presented
Possible defences
The instructing of expert witnesses to support your case, if required.
Obtaining of references and witness statements

We will provide advice and representation throughout. We have been granted a contract by the Legal Aid Agency to carry out publicly funded work for many years. This is as a result of satisfying the Agency of our level of professional excellence. As such, we can provide representation free of charge by way of Legal Aid (subject to your means and an interest of justice test). Alternatively, if you are financially ineligible for free representation we offer extremely competitive private rates which will always be discussed and agreed with you in advance.

FIXED FEES- Magistrates MOTORING Matters only.

If you require advice assistance or representation in respect of a motoring matter is heard in the magistrates court then we confirm that we would be able to discuss a fixed fee with you.

Guilty- fixed fee

On average if you intend to plead guilty to a motoring matter in the magistrates court and you wish us to represent you at court than the average cost will be between £360 and £720 including VAT. Please note this figure includes preparation advice and representation at court. But is limited to advice only in respect of any appeal. If it was necessary to obtain specific expert reports then we would discuss that cost with you prior to instructing any expert on your behalf. You would have to pay the expert's report cost in addition to our fixed fee.

If you intend to plead not guilty to a motoring matter that can only be heard in the magistrates court then again we may be able to discuss a fixed fee with you and the average cost for contesting this type of matter would be between £720 and £1800 including VAT. Please note this figure includes preparation advice and representation at court. But is limited to advise only in respect of any appeal. If it was necessary to obtain specific expert reports then we would discuss the cost with you prior to instructing any experts on your behalf. You would have to pay expert reports cost in addition to our fixed fee.
